Balance Between Main and Optional Objectives
While the main objectives should be your primary focus, there’s no harm in taking the occasional detour if you spot something valuable or interesting during your travels. However, it's important to strike a balance so you don’t spend too much time on side content that might slow you down.

Here’s how you can balance the two:

First and foremost, Complete Story Objectives: Always finish the main quest in each act before diving into side quests. Side objectives can sometimes offer tempting rewards (such as extra loot or passive skill points), but the priority should be to POE currency advance the story and unlock the next section of the game.

Complete Optional Quests for Skill Points: Some side quests reward you with additional passive skill points—these are incredibly valuable as they increase your power. If you can, try to pick up these quests along the way, but only when it doesn’t cause you to fall behind on your main objectives.

Don’t Get Distracted by Loot: It’s easy to get lost in hunting for loot or treasure, but resist the urge to farm endlessly in the early stages of the game. Stick to the main objective until you unlock endgame content like maps, where the loot and farming become much more rewarding.
